NTNU, Trondheim, Norway

The algebra group in Trondheim started with Idun Reiten being hired in
1972. Today the group consists of two subgroups, one in representation
theory of algebras and related topics and one in cryptography. The
members of the former are now Petter Andreas Bergh, Aslak Bakke Buan,
Steffen Oppermann, Sverre O. Smalø and Øyvind Solberg.

They do research mainly in representation theory of algebras,
including topics related to cluster algebras, homological algebra
(including Hochschild cohomology, triangulated and derived
categories), commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, and connections
between geometry and representation theory. For further information on
the algebra group at NTNU see the homepage for the algebra group.

There is a weekly algebra seminar.
