The Department of Mathematics at Paderborn University invites candidates to apply for the position of
Professor of Algebra/Discrete Mathematics (W2)
to be filled as soon as possible.
We seek candidates with excellent scientific qualifications at the interface of algebra and discrete mathematics, who will significantly strengthen and extend the existing research profile of the Institute of Mathematics of Paderborn University as well as of the CRC/TRR 358 “Integral structures in geometry and representation theory”. Possible research directions of the candidate could include (but are not limited to) algebraic combinatorics, applied algebraic geometry, geometric group theory or combinatorial representation theory.
The candidate is required to contribute to the full scope of teaching duties of the Institute of Mathematics, including mathematics classes for prospective teacher students and students of other disciplines.
