Seminars on Representation Theory of Algebras and Related Topics

Below is a non-comprehensive list of online seminars on representation theory of algebras and related topics. Please write to Matthew Pressland at Matthew.Pressland@glasgow.ac.uk if you would like to suggest a seminar for inclusion in this list.

European Quantum Algebra Lectures (EQuAL)

Mondays 2:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time (Schedule)

Organisers: Robert Laugwitz (Nottingham), Ehud Meir (Aberdeen), Ana Ros Camacho (Cardiff)

An online seminar series on quantum algebra and related topics such as topological and conformal field theory, operator algebra, representation theory, quantum topology, etc.

FD Seminar

Thursdays 1:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time (Schedule)

Organisers: Eleonore Faber, Gustavo Jasso, Ryan Kinser, Julian Külshammer, Rosanna Laking, Alexandra Zvonareva

The FD Seminar is a weekly online seminar on representation theory of quivers and finite-dimensional algebras. The seminar aims to become a virtual meeting space for representation-theorists worldwide (transcending the COVID-19 crisis which catalysed its inception), and wishes also to provide an international forum for researchers who may otherwise not have access to such.

LAGOON – Longitudinal Algebra and Geometry Open ONline Seminar

Last Wednesday of the month 12:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time (Schedule)

Organisers: Frank Neumann, Sibylle Schroll

The LAGOON webinar series has a strong focus on Representation Theory and Algebraic Geometry and their many interactions covering topics such as homological mirror symmetry, stability conditions, derived categories, dg-categories, Hochschild cohomology of algebras, moduli spaces and algebraic stacks, derived algebraic geometry and other topics. This webinar series is supported as part of the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS) and the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences (INI) Online Mathematical Sciences Seminars.

New Directions in Group Theory and Triangulated Categories

Usually Tuesdays 3:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time (Schedule)

Organisers: Rudradip Biswas

This seminar series was started in November 2020. It usually meets every week with some occasional breaks. If you are interested in receiving updates and announcements regarding talks in this series, and also if you are interested in suggesting a speaker including yourself, please get in touch with Rudradip Biswas.

Paris Algebra Seminar

Mondays 12:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time (Schedule)

Organisers: Jacques Alev, David Hernandez, Bernhard Keller, Thierry Levasseur, Sophie Morier-Genoud

The seminar takes place on Mondays from 2–3pm (Paris time) on Zoom. For the links, please subscribe to the mailing list. Slides and notes are available here. For recordings of talks, please contact Bernhard Keller.

RA Seminar

Wednesdays 10:30 AM Coordinated Universal Time (Schedule)

Organisers: Javad Asadollahi, Xiao-Wu Chen, Ziba Fazelpour, Alireza Nasr-Isfahani

This event consists of a series of seminars on representation theory. The event format will include an online 50-minute lecture that will be held on the second Wednesday of every month. The goal of this event is to assemble the leading experts and researchers and to provide a platform to discuss their perspectives, the latest advances and findings.

RepNet Virtual Seminar

Wednesdays 3:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time (Schedule)

Organisers: Chris Bowman, Kevin McGerty, Emily Norton, Tomasz Przezdziecki, Ulrich Thiel

The RepNet Virtual Seminar focuses on topics across representation theory including combinatorics, Lie theory, geometric representation theory, and group theory. Hosted by the ICMS.
