We would like to advertise a 3-year Research Assistant position (Ricercatore a tempo determinato di tipo a) in Algebra at the University of Padova. This position is aimed at young researchers in Algebra with some postdoctoral experience. The position is research focused, but it also requires a moderate amount of teaching (approximately 1 semester-long course per academic year). The contractual conditions for this type of position are comparable to those of public workers in Italy, and the salary is higher than the common Italian 1-year postdoctoral positions (known as "assegni di ricerca”).
Knowledge of Italian language is desired but not necessary at the time of the application. Nevertheless, the successful candidate is expected to learn the language and teach in Italian as soon as possible after taking up the job.
